Throughout the year, Dr. Kennedy and staff have donated their time to helping promote healthy vision to schools and community.

A few examples include:

- Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Lum and staff at FYEO provided free full eye exams (and if needed glasses) to children from Harvey Milk elemetary school who did not pass initial vision screenings and with limited means for glasses otherwise.

- Dr. Kennedy takes part in vision screenings for Project Homeless Connect; helping those in need with eye care service.

- Dr. Kennedy has also volunteered at the Stuart School for Boys, talking to 3rd grade students about vision and eye health.
